Even though it has been a hotter summer then most, I have to say, I am not complaining. Honestly, I wish summer would be longer then 3 months here. Just think of it, more fruits and veggies..........and so what if less things would get done........that is what the rest of the year is for! Yeah, Glenn and I have been loving our fruit and veggie garden. This is our first garden here in Asheville, and we have learned a lot in one season. Like we only really need one cucumber plant instead of three! For weeks we were picking 30-40 cucumbers and Glenn was hauling them to work. What a work out! Now, we will be preparing and thinking of a fall garden, and we have some serious weeding to do. Yeaks, it got away from us.
Don't forget this weekend is the Village Art And Craft Fair held right here in Biltmore Village on the church's grounds. Glenn and I love to run over there and check out the artwork. There are always new artists showcasing their works. In addition, the weather is usually nice for the event.
Also, the Leicester Studio Tour is August 21st and 22nd. The Leicester Area is so beautiful and it is a great time of the year to drive around the countryside and check out the artworks.
