Tif McDonald
Artist Statement
Imagine you are alone, looking out on an endless horizon. Everything is still and quiet, and behind a blanket of haze. I find this tranquil place in my work. My paintings incorporate soft blocks of color and drawings in multiple layers of wax. I create serene pieces where elements of nature and images from memory are sealed in an ethereal and tactile encasement of beeswax.
